Welcome to my journal.
It's about my life,
my feelings and my family with 6 children.
The twinsgirls of 10:
Yinti and Djenné.
Nyo (14, autistic),
Thami (15, dyslectic and ADHD),
Lars (17),
Stef (20, ADD and Asperger),
and their father
(PDD-Nos, autistic traits).

This blog is not written
to cause pain or to offend,
but it's a way to vent.
I'm allowed to.
I'm managing a nuthouse. LOL!

UNDER THE WILLOW

augustus 22.

Slept rather well.
Went to babysit, and then put all the bookcovers on on Nyo's books.
Still I was so tired.. I put away the covering paper and tha tape, and I don't know where I've put the tape.
So for once I'm experiencing Stef's syndrome. LOL!

Finally we had some sun!!!!

Worked all afternoon and then it was time to cook.
No rest for the wicked!

Had a talk with Nyo when we were looking a program about raising children.
I said that it was so sad that parents of autistic children and spectrumchildren are often considered bad parents when their children act different in supermarkets and such. That it would be helpful to recognise other parents of autistic and spectrumchildren. Like when they wear the autism ribbon.
In that case you can go to such a parent when there are real problems, and ask if you would take care of the other child, or the car or something.

"Well, he said,"I think it's even more effective when the child wears the ribbon too, so people know you have difficulty communicating and looking at them.
I would love to wear a ribbon so people know."

Well, I've only seen rather expensive metal ribbons on internet, but maybe when I look a little better...

He also should take his identitycard with him, but as he looses so many things I think it's wise he takes a copy with him.
Well, he's lost his already...
Maybe a certified broche would be far better for kids like him.
Well, I have to think about it...

The rest of the evening was rather stressful as Lars wanted to be at a computer (his is broke)... which means Jim's computer, and Jim didn't let him, because he wanted to do things for work.
Lars got one of his angry spells.
I was just doing is bookcovers just to make things easy for him, as he can do it himself, and that angry fit made me reconsider.
So he can do it himself tomorrow.

But Lars was right in asking Jim.
Lars didn't do anything to make his computer break down. It was just old age. And it was just a hand-out from a friend who didn't want to go to the öld computer's graveyard".
And Jim has worked all day and he's not supposed to work at home. But most of the evenings he just works and doesn't pay attention to the kids.
Almost like he spends part of his workingtime on other things.

Even on wednesdays, when he has a free day, so he can do the groceries and go with me to schools etc., he checkes his mail oh so many times, and gets called at least 5 times.
Not that he has such a responsible position.

Well. I pointed it all out to Jim. Said that he could transfer some of his eveningwork to tomorrow, and that would free the computer.
Ofcourse he didn't like what I was saying.
Then had a confrontational talk with Lars. he's not a two year old with a fit, but a 17 year old, behaving like a three year old.

So the evening ended...at last...rather quiet...

Nyo is OK with his new mentor.
His teacher Dutch is an old friend of ours. I'm not yet sure if I'm happy with that.
Tomorrow his year starts with the first hour free.

Thami is not yet sure he likes his teachers. We'll see.
He didn't tell me he would be going to some socalled "friends", so I waited all afternoon.
After that we had a good talk... meaning I did the talking, and he had to change his behaviour. LOL!

Djenne came home almost crying.
She'd made a nasty fall at school before getting to het bycicle.
She was bleeding from a large spot on her belly, and her hands had wounds too.
Disinfecting stinged, but she did well.
After that Yinti and I pampered her for a while untill she had forgotten everything.

In the meanwhile it rained and rained... what a terrible weather!!

Got a phonecall from someone with whom I drank coffee each week for about two or three years.
When her kids all went to school she had other things to do.
Only if she needs me she comes or calls.
I watched her plants for three weeks during the terrible hot weather. Had to water them at least twice a day.
Got no thank you at all.
It felt strange. Just two words....

She called today: if I would watch her little one..
I said "yes", without thinking.

When the phone was down, I thought it to be strange that she didn't ask me for a cup of coffee.
She must have thought the same as she called back and asked me to come earlier.

So I'm going to spend some hours there, while I'm far too bussy.

Well, I hope I'll sleep tonight better than last night.
I was still wide awake at 3...
