The Netherlands, the country I live, is the country with the highest percentage of bycicles in it's population.

I learned to ride a three-wheeler when I was 2 years, moved on to a little bycicle when I was about 4 and then I got a larger one and another larger one when I grew up.
I just can't imagine a life without one.

As we don't have a car, the bycicle is the main mode of transport for us.
When my children were little, I had one in a seat at the front and one in a seat at the back.
And I'm used to having groceries hanging wherever it's possible. And ofcourse in a huge bag or box at the back.

All my children have a bike. It's their mode of transportation to school.
We don't know schoolbusses here. Only a sort of schoolbus for children with special needs who can't go to school alone.

The traffic here is very bussy and the rules are strict.
Parents teach their children to behave in traffic and some schools test the abilities to take part in traffic on a bycicle when the children are about 11 years old.

Main problems are flat tyres... and theft.
That's why most people who live in the city don't want to have a new bycicle.

In the summer we like to go for a ride for fun.
The children love to picknick and with a bycicle one can reach a picknickplace very easy, as there are many byciclepaths all over the country.

Just ask!!
