THE NETHERLANDS

Welcome to this part of the site where you can find some information about my country: The Netherlands.

It's a little country in Europe.
You can find it on the map by putting your finger on England and going to the right.
Cross the Channel, that's the water, and stop before Germany.
Easy to find, isn't it?

There are many misunderstanding about my country, and I'm getting annoyed by people telling we're almost all drugusers, we're killing our babies and elderly,and we all walk around wearing a bonnet and wooden shoes.

In fact we're very nice people, always willing to help and speak your language.

Most of us are very tolerant people, who are eager to learn about other people and other cultures.
We also value peace and our independence.

I understand people from other countries see us as critical people.
Well, we like to discuss matters openly. Especially politics and the weather.
We feel that living in a democracy means that we should be well-informed, we should know what we want, and that we should be critical of our government each step on the way.

Our history is interesting.
You can find traces of Dutch people all over the world. Because we are traders.
